RETAILED BY JOHANN PETERLONGO. Cal. 16 Ga. (410 Subguage) over 6.3x58R. S# 5633 (4.26 = April 1926). The 26 7/8" bbls. w/ top matted rib having blade front sight, pop up rear sight & added claw mounts; front claw mount partially obliterated retailer marking "JOH PETERL". Bbl. water table has April 1926 & August 1928 German Nitro proofs. Underlever action w/ Greener style safety, dbl. set triggers, extractors, & cocking indicators. Walnut forearm & pistol grip stock w/ scalloped horn grip cap, sling eye on toeline & left side cheekpiece. Forearm has Deeley release. LOP: 13 14/" to buttplate. DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 1/2. CAST: slight cast out. WEIGHT: 6.47 lbs. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Briley Top bore .418 sub gauge choke tube. Unmarked green cloth luggage case w/ green felt partitioned interior. CONDITION: bbls. have very good refreshened finish w/ light marks on rib around mounts. Receiver has faded to gray w/ spots of patina. Wood has been refreshened w/ gloss finish & recut checkering. Buttplate appears horn w/ marks & one "worm" hole. Bright shiny bores w/ rifle having strong rifling & light frosting in the grooves. Case in very good condition w/ light marks. (23-2131/MD).
