Cal. 8.50R. NSN. Bbl. 31 1/4" octagon. Bbl. has matted top flat & is drilled for three scope blocks. Bbl. is marked under forend & bottom flat w/ "BGU" proofs & "527" and on left flat "0,2grII.G.P.M/71 / 1,8grBI.". Bbl. is equipped w/ narrow European sling swivel approx. 11" behind muzzle. Assembly number "22" matches on opening lever, rear sight, forend channel & retaining key. Key operated aperture rear sight w/ 1 3/4" disc. Adjusting key is not present. Replacement globe type interchangeable insert front sight mounted in 3/8" dovetail. Original dovetail is partly filled. Martini type action adapted to be cleaned from the breech. Breech action is marked on the top right w/ "BU" proofs & has floral engraving w/ case colors. Adj. double set triggers. Opening lever w/ finger rest. Lever operated quick release lower tang. European walnut, buttstock & forend. Buttstock is checkered in the grip area. Prominent raised cheekpiece. Steel Schuetzen buttplate. Forend is retained by key. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining & handling marks throughout. Checkering has wear & scattered missing diamonds. Forend has notable palm-rest indentations near the receiver. Action parts have wear & areas of patina while retaining a good degree of their case colors. Bbl. retains 80% of its original blue w/ thinning & light wear.
