WITH SCABBARDS. 1) Hunting dagger mfg. by W.K & C. The right side of the ricasso exhibits 2 proofs above "W.K.&C". The blade measures 14" in length, with an overall length of 20 3/8". Stag hoof crossguard, with clamshell on right side. 1 piece stag handle with lions head pommel. Guard is wrapped in a green portepee. Leather scabbard with steel fittings. CONDITION: blade retains a bright exterior, exhibiting mild scattered oxidation and some spots of darker discoloration. Guard and pommel exhibit oxidation and retain a dark patina. Scabbard exhibits some scattered handling marks, with areas of age related cracking, as well as light surface oxidation on the metal components. 2) Pattern 1898 dress bayonet produced by an unknown mfg. Blade is unmarked, with the blade, guard, and pommel exhibiting a nickel plated finish. Blade measures 19" in length and 23 7/8" in overall length. Half guard with 2 piece wood grip. Leather scabbard with nickel plated fittings. CONDITION: metal components exhibit spots of mild flaking and light oxidation overall. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage, but remain strudy and serviceable. Scabbard exhibits age related cracking and crazing overall. (02-21051/MLW). $150-250.
