SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, WITH TANGENT REAR SIGHT. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 119774. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation, circa. January to November of 1942. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Left side of the frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Eagle/WaA140 acceptance proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, with the left grip exhibiting red anti-moisture barrier paint on the interior of the panel. Thumbprint slide, with dovetailed aftermarket blade front sight and original V-notch tangent rear sight, graduated 50-500. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 blued 13-rd. mag., with an Eagle/WaA140 proof on the spine. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, as well as some areas of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting overall. Right side of slide exhibits a small concentrated area of dark pitting. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some areas of smoothing, as well as some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
