Left side of the frame, slide, and right side of the bbl. exhibit a poorly struck Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Rear of frame is stamped with an unidentified inverted triangle proof. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), slide extension, as well as the bbl. MAGS: 1 9-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: capture "certificate" dated "8/19/45", listing this pistol by S#, indicating that it was captured by Technician Fourth Grade "T/4 S.A.Hudak". CONDITION: very good to excellent, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks, as we as a few scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Front grip strap exhibits areas of wear and thinning that show through to brown patina, with some spots of mild pitting. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing and a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. A very nice example of a German occupation FN Model 1922 commercial pistol, complete with capture paperwork. PROVENANCE: the Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-300/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
