PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 44129a. Bbl. 4 1/2". Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked "(H)" (denoting Heer issue), followed by FN's mfg. information above a eagle firing proof and two Eagle/WaA140 acceptance proofs. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight, with V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), slide extension, as well as the bbl. MAGS: one 9-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray patina, with scattered spots of mild to moderate pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as scattered marks and nicks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
