PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 5255. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis. 35 (German designation P.35(P.) ) semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Poland at the Radom arsenal while under German occupation. Left side of the slide is marked "F.B. RADOM VIS Mod.35 Pat Nr.15567", followed by an eagle firing proof and Eagle/623 proof, above an Eagle/WaA77 proof and "P.35(P.)". Left side of frame is marked with an Eagle/WaA77 proof, with two Eagle/623 proofs marked on the left side of the bbl. lug. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips, with "FB" on the left panel and "VIS" on the right. Matte rib, with blade front sight and V-notch rear sight. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), as well as the bbl. MAGS: one 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as scattered spots of light pitting and oxidation overall. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show scattered marks from handling and storage but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
