PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# H9310. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Radom arsenal and assembled at the Steyr arsenal while under German occupation during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.", followed by an eagle firing proof above a partially discernible Steyr Eagle/WaA623 proof (also present on left side of bbl. lug). Right side of the frame is marked with the S#, followed by a Radom Eagle/77 proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Right grip exhibits a carved "J" at the bottom of the panel. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety (right), slide (interior), as well as the bbl. MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as scattered superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-356/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-2,000.
