PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# C8870. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Radom while under German occupation. Left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.", followed by an eagle firing proof and Steyr Eagle/623 proof (indicating final assembly at Steyr), above a Radom Eagle/WaA77 proof and "P.35(p)". Left side of the frame is marked with a Radom Eagle/WaA77 proof, with 2 Steyr Eagle/623 proofs marked on the left side of the bbl. lug. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, including on the bbl. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered "FB" (left) "VIS" (right) black synthetic grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching, and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 unproofed reblued 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish overall, exhibiting some spots of light wear (primarily on edges), with light to mild surface oxidation present overall. Bore is bright, as refinished, exhibiting consistent moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered superficial handling marks overall, with the left panel exhibiting an area of flattening to the diamonds. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
