PISTOL. Cal. 4ACP. S# 30074. Bbl. 5" with matching number. Mfg. 1945 under German occupation within proper serial range of 29261-30523; internet reference states only 30 to 50 known. Jan Still's reference states only 1,000 made in 1945. Originally, the Model 1914 had about every part numbered including the ejector; as time passed, fewer parts were numbered for expediency. Matching numbers on this pistol are: frame, slide, barrel, slide stop, trigger, thumb safety, grip safety and mainspring housing. Some examples had case colored or in the white hammers (this one is blued). Extractor appears fire blued as are most examples. Typical black stained double diamond checkered light colored hardwood grips. Eagle party symbol over "Wa484" proof on left side of slide before caliber marking. Side of sear appears to have Springfield eagle proof. Recoil spring is modern blued replacement. MAGS: 1 good unmarked 7 rd. with lanyard loop. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Early Norwegian style tan holster in very good to excellent condition. Has internal lift strap and single wide belt loop. No visible markings. CONDITION: very good plus with function wear showing at ejection port. Very light high point wear. Very light hand wear to grips. Bore is very good having faint, even frosting yet still shinny. (23-4755/NW). CURIO. $5,000-7,000.
