SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH STOCK. Cal. 9mm Para. S# 26901. Bbl 5 1/2". C96 chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum manufactured by Mauser for the Imperial German military during World War I. The right side of the frame bears stampings stipulating Mauser's manufacturer information, which is also present on the top flat of the chamber. Left side of receiver is stamped with a double Crown/U commercial proof, with the right side bearing a single crowned Imperial German military acceptance proof. Major metal components are rust blued, with some smaller components being in-the-white or nitre blued. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Imperial German proofed wood stock holster, with some faint carving on the side, with legible characters reading "Aust". CONDITION: major metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting mild wear and thinning overall that shows through to a gray patina. Bright bore, exhibiting moderate pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but are otherwise very good. Stock shows some scattered handling marks, with a couple small gouges, a loss on the left side at the stock iron, as well as a crack at the lid release button that runs down to the screw hole.
