SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 135o. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Erfurt in 1918 for the Imperial German military. The bbl. extension is marked "1918" over the chamber, with Erfurt arsenal proofs marked on the right. Frame and various other small parts and components exhibit Erfurt arsenal proofs. Underside of the bbl. is marked with the S# (minus the suffix) above a diminutive "7.65". Metal components exhibit an extremely a professionally reapplied blue finish. Strawed parts including the takedown lever, trigger, mag. release button, safety lever, and ejector exhibit a reheated finish. Grip screws and blade front sight exhibit a reapplied nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece aftermarket checkered wood grips. All serialized parts are matching, and appear to have been renumbered at one time. MAGS: 1 non-matching wood bottom 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster. Interior of closure flap exhibits an illegible boxed ink stamp, with a handwritten "S." in black ink on the rear between the belt loops. CONDITION: excellent, as professionally restored, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their reapplied finishes overall, exhibiting some spots of light edge wear, as well as some areas of very light pitting beneath the finish. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some light smoothing, as well as some scattered nicks and marks to the diamonds. Wood bottom on mag. is broken, with all pieces remaining present. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some wear, some scattered handling marks, as well as a few areas of light age related cracking and crazing.
