MODEL 1934 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 547319. Bbl. 3 3/8". 1 of approx. 8,000 1st Variation Model 1934 semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Mauser for the German Kriegsmarine. The left side of the slide is marked with the S# within a milled panel, followed by Mauser's mfg. information, with "Cal. 7,65" and "D.R.P.u.A.P." marked on the right. Sideplate is marked with the Mauser banner logo, followed by a 1st Variation Eagle/M Kriegsmarine proof. Front grip strap is Nordsee unit marked "N/ 1889". Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Kriegsmarine Eagle/M remains mostly in-the-white, with the Nordsee property marked being blued and showing more noticeable losses. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece revarnished flat checkered wood grip. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 7-rd. mag. with matching Nordsee property mark above an "X". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some scattered spots of pitting beneath the finish, with an area of light to mild pitting present on the left side of the frame, just above the trigger guard. Bore is bright, as refinished, exhibiting consistent mild to moderate pitting and a large bulge at the center, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action does not function properly and requires gunsmith attention. Grip is good, as revarnished, exhibiting a few minor marks and impressions from handling and storage, with a chip present on the left side at the top left corner. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, with varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing present overall. (24-6877/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
