P.08 LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 2809m. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser in 1940. The top of the bbl. extension is marked "1940" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/655 proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "42" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, hold-open latch, bbl., bbl. extension, trigger bar, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, toggles, rear toggle pin, as well as the mag. Grip screws are contemporary replacements. MAGS: 1 matching 8-rd., and 1 post-war 8-rd. marked "2/1001". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "P.08", followed by an encircled "GRAF/ 1940/ LEIPZIG", and an Eagle/WaA170" on the rear, containing an unmarked loading tool. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their blue finish, exhibiting some concentrated spots of wear and thinning, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting light pitting in the grooves and on the edges of the lands, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as scattered superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage.
