SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm Parabellum. S# 225i. Bbl. 4 7/8". Standard configuration P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Walther Arsenal in 1942. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38", followed by Walther's manufacture code above the 2-digit year of mfg. "ac/ 42" plus the S# w/ the right side exhibiting an Eagle/359 acceptance proof on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components are blued w/ the frame being mounted w/ 2 piece grooved black pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching & include the frame, slide, bbl. & locking block. MAGS: 1 - 8 rd. "ac" marked mag. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear& thinning that show through to gray & brown patinas, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some pitting at & around the muzzle. Very bright bore exhibiting light pitting plus well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling & storage, but otherwise are very good overall. (23-5608/MLW).
