SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 6008E. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Walther Arsenal in 1943. The left side of the slide exhibits the model designation, followed by Walther's mfg. and date code "ac/ 43", as well as the S#. The right side exhibits an Eagle/359 acceptance proof on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components exhibit a blued finish with the frame being mounted with 2 piece grooved black pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl. and locking block. MAGS: 2 - 8 Rd. CONDITION: Steyr produced brown leather holster containing 1 spare mag., exhibiting a partially discernible ink stamp on the interior with Steyr's "bnz" mfg. code. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting edge wear overall, with some areas of mild wear and thinning that show through to gray patina. Bright bore having consistent mild pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting marks from handling and storage, with some areas of mild age related cracking and crazing. Provenance: from The Estate of Harry Henry. (23-5112/MLW).
