SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOSLTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 9256H. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1944. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38", followed by the S#, Walther's mfg. code "ac", and the 2-digit year of mfg. "44", with an Eagle/359 acceptance proof present on either side of an eagle firing proof the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved brown pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "jwa/ 4" on the rear. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their arsenal blue finish overall, exhibiting some light wear and thinning on the frame, with some mild surface oxidation present on the underside of the frame tang. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Left grip panel is slightly warped. Holster shows some scattered marks overall, with a few areas of light age related cracking. (24-1003/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
