SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 276216k. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model PPK semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1940 for the German military. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Left side of the frame and slide exhibit a Walther Eagle/WaA359 acceptance proof. Right side of the frame (on chamber), slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a high polished blue finish overall, save for on the chamber, which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece mottled brown Walther banner checkered synthetic grip. Slide features a matte grooved rib, with a fixed blade front sight and fixed U-notch rear sight. Interior of slide is matching via the last 3-digits of the S#, which are lightly inscribed parallel to the ejection port. MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light warping, as well as some light smoothing and superficial marks from handling and storage, with a small crack present on the rear that stems from the frame spur area.
