REPRODUCTION STOCK & HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm Parabellum. S# 7070L. Bbl. 7 7/8". Standard configuration LP.08 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM under contract for the Imperial German military during WWI. The bbl. extension is marked "1917" over the chamber, with DWM arsenal proofs marked on the right. Right side of the bbl., bbl. extension, and left side of the breechblock exhibit an Imperial German Reichsadler. Major metal components exhibit an arsenal-reapplied blue finish, with some smaller components, including the takedown lever, safety lever, and ejector, exhibiting a strawed finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Left grip panel exhibits a faintly etched German WWII party symbol between the checkering. Nearly all numbers are matching, with the exception of the bbl. extension, rear sight assembly, hold-open latch, and left grip panel, which all have been or appear to have been renumbered at one time to match. Mag. is mismatched. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: reproduction holster containing a reproduction loading tool and cleaning rod, with a reproduction flat board shoulder stock. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal reapplied blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray patina. Very bright bore, exhibiting some very light pitting on the lands, and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster exhibits some wear and creasing but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Stock shows a few scattered marks, but otherwise is good overall. (24-1790/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
