SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 2194i. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by Mauser in 1942. The bbl. extension is marked with the 2-digit year of mfg. "42" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/135 arsenal proofs marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "byf" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, which appear to be of contemporary mfg. All numbers are matching, save for on the grips and mag. MAGS: one 8-rd. blued "fxo"-marked mag, with black plastic bottom. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked with a mostly indiscernible mfg. mark (appears to be Ehrhardt und Kirsten) above an Eagle/WaA170 proof on the rear and containing an Eagle/63 marked loading tool. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal salt blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Frame exhibits some additional light pitting and oxidation beneath the grip panels. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing and a few scattered nicks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, scattered handling marks, as well as areas of light to mild age-related cracking and crazing. (24-5468/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-2,000.
