Top of the bbl. extension is marked with the 2-digit year of mfg. "42," with Mauser Eagle/135 acceptance proofs marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "byf" mfg. code. Bbl. extension exhibits a grievous crack that stems from the chamber and runs 3/8" vertically along the right side. While Section 23. of Poulin Auctions' Terms & Conditions states that it is strongly recommended that any firearm be inspected by a competent gunsmith prior to firing, the cataloger would like to state that this particular firearm should not be fired for any reason due to this crack, as catastrophic failure is likely to occur. Right grip panel exhibits heavy smoothing, with the left panel exhibiting large impressions at the center of the grip and a loss at the upper right corner, to the rear of the safety lever.
