SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 4001i. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1943. Left side of the slide is marked "P.38", followed by Walther's mfg. code and the 2-digit year of mfg. "ac/ 43", and the S#, with 2 Eagle/359 proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved dark brown pressed resin grips. Dovetailed blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: 2 blued 8-rd. mags. marked with a Mauser Eagle/135 proof on the spines. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: pebble grain black leather holster mfg. by Hans Romer marked "bml/44" on the rear. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, showing areas of light to mild edge wear, with mild surface oxidation and pitting present on the right side of the slide. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, including the safety / decocking lever. Grips show scattered superficial handling marks, but are otherwise very good overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some wear and scattered spots/areas of crazing, with a hole present on the right side of the toe. Closure flap strap and left belt loop are absent.
