GRADE EJECTOR SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-3/4". S# FWS51452. The 26" barrels are fitted with L.C. Smith's innovative high single sighting plane solid rib introduced in 1939. L.C. Smith info is stamped on top of right barrel. S#, grade and chamber length are on barrel flats. Case hardened L.C. Smith sidelock action features automatic safety and double triggers. Capped pistol grip plain American walnut buttstock measures 14-1/4" over brown Old English pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend with inlet ebony tip has usual "J" spring release with knurled secondary latch in oval steel escutcheon. Barrels are fitted with a well made leather hand protector. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .613. R .614. Restriction: L .003 (IC). R .002 (IC). Wall thickness: L .038. R .035. STOCK: DAH: 2-3/8". DAC: 1-3/8". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-1/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 9 oz. CONDITION: fine as partially refinished. Barrels retaining nearly all of a good quality re-black. Action and lockplates retain 60% case hardening color. Trigger guard is re-blued. Stocks appear to have added oil over there original varnish finish. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Ejectors are slightly out of time. (24-3776/MGM). CURIO. $2,000-3,500.
