Cal. 12 Ga. 2-5/8". S# 93417 (1921). The 30" barrels are marked "STERLINGWORTH FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL" and with Fox Philadelphia address on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with S# and Fox proof. Case hardened action with automatic safety and double triggers has wiggle border engraving with some minor foliate sprays. "STERLINGWORTH" is stamped on both sides. Blued trigger guard has S# on tang. Likely replaced American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock with some fiddle figure measures 14-1/8" over ribbed hard rubber buttplate. Flat top checkering is at grip. Original ejector forend has spring tension release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .728. R .728. Restriction: L .036 (full). R .024 (mod). Wall thickness: L .030. R .031. STOCK: DAH: 3". DAC: 1-3/4". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-1/8". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 4 oz. CONDITION: very fine. Barrels retaining about 95% original blue. Action with about 80% case color thinning on bottom and fences. Buttstock a probable replacement has been refinished. Forend appears original retaining nearly all of its varnish finish.
