Cal. 16 Ga. 2 1/2". S# 135 (on bbl.). The 29 5/8" shoelump bbls. fitted w/ slightly raised concave matted rib are not maker or retailer marked. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ imperial German nitro proofs. There is no date stamp present. Case hardened scallop backed boxlock action features automatic safety, raised rib cocking indicators, crossbolt 3rd fastener, sideclips, & dbl. triggers. Action is engraved w/ sprays of scroll within line & wiggle borders. Fences have nicely releif carved oak leaves on tops. Steel trigger guard is engraved w/ scroll on bow. Tang has been extended, possibly to fill area w/ horn insert. Straight grip buttstock of lightly marbled European walnut measures 14 1/4" over old Jostam solid pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend w/ inlet horn tip has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .665", L .672". Restriction: R .014" (MOD), L .026" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .030", L .030". STOCK: DAH: 2 3/8". DAC: 1 5/8". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 6 lb. 1 oz. CONDITION: fair to good, bbls. retaining about 30% of what appears to be original blue. Traces of case hardening color on action. Stocks exhibit old oil refinish, edges slightly rounded. Checkering is considerably worn, pad is old but not original. Bores are quite good, bright & shiny without noted problems. Action is somewhat loose. Top lever spring is broken. Otherwise, mechanically good. Stock is sound. A fairly attractive gun that should respond to some TLC. (22-3032/MGM). CURIO. $600-1,100.
