GAMEGUN BY J. KEINER OF SUHL. Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 2142. The 28 1/2" shoelump bbls. are fitted w/ slightly raised concave matted rib, gold inlaid “2” at breech section. A gold “2” is also on top lever & bottom of forend iron. Top of left bbl. is marked “BUHAG SUHL HANDWERKARBITE” “MADE IN GDR”. There are 2" triangles of well cut shaded scroll engraving at breech ends. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ October 1971 east German Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Coin finished action appears to be of blitz style & is fitted w/ ornamental sideplates. Maker’s name & address are stamped on watertable. Action features non-automatic safety, crossbolt 3rd fastener, sideclips & dbl. triggers. Action is engraved w/ full coverage attractive lg. open shaded scroll. Matching scroll is on blued trigger guard. Well marbled & lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15 5/8" over dark brown leather covered pad over 1/4" black spacer. Multi point pattern checkering is at grip & a sling loop is on toeline. Matching splinter ejector forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .726", L .724". Restriction: R .051" (EXTRA FULL), L .049" (EXTRA FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .035", L .038". STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8". DAC: 1 3/4-" LOP: 15 5/8". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 1 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: very fine, bbls. retaining about 90% original blue w/ some rubs & light scratches. Action retains nearly all of its original coin finish. Stocks retain about 90% original oil finish w/ some rubs through around action & at grip & w/ quite a few lg. light scratches. Checkering is lightly worn.
