Cal. 11mm Gras. S# M18263. Bbl. 20" dated 1876. Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1100m. Both action screws are numbered "87" but other visible numbered parts are matching to bbl. Left side of receiver has "St. Etienne M1866-74" & "M80" markings. Consignor states this rifle was Greek issued but no visible Greek markings. The Greeks did indeed use Gras variants including some made by Steyr. Arsenal blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & brass hardware. Replacement ramrod present. CONDITION: refinished stock set has added varnish with faint cartouches, some light chipping, scattered dings, scratches & handling marks. Brass parts have been cleaned to bright with some pitting, varnish overrun, dings & oxidation. Balance of metal retains 70% arsenal rework blue with scattered oxidation, fading to gray, edge wear, varnish overrun & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
