THEATER KNIFE AND ENTRENCHING TOOLS. 1) Model 1907 Lee-Enfield Bayonet. 17" fullered blade. 21 3/4" overall. Blade is marked on left ricasso with crown over "1907 / SANDERSON". Right ricasso has broad arrow and faint view marks. Pommel is marked on the right side "E318 RAF 1 4434" and marked on left side with "Opposed from service" marking. Straight cross-guard with smooth walnut grips. Scabbard with steel tip and throat. CONDITION: worn bayonet has been sharpened and is returning to patina from having been cleaned. Scabbard has wear and scuffing, but is in good serviceable condition. 2) Theater Knife. Has a coarsely ground 7 5/8" double-edged blade. 11 3/4" overall. Knife is unmarked with straight brass crossguard. Stacked brown leather washer handle. Aluminum buttcap is retained by two allen-head screws. Brown leather scabbard with retaining strap is unmarked. CONDITION: knife shows extensive wear, grind marks and scuffing. Sheath has wear and scuffing, stitching and rivets remain tight. 3) Entrenching tool resembling the modified M43 tool described on page 169 of "782 Gear by Glenn". Tool was modified to be non-folding and metal retains 50% of its green Marine Corps type paint. Handle is well-worn and slightly loose. 4) West German entrenching tool dated 1966 with folding pick. Complete with leather shovel carrier. CONDITION: carrier and tool show extensive use with wear, but remain in good serviceable condition. 5) West German folding entrenching tool with pick dated 1965. CONDITION: tool in well-worn, but serviceable condition. 6) Unmarked entrenching tool with folding pick and wooden handle. Tool resembled U.S. issue. Tool has wear, oxidation and loose joints.
