1) 12” Overall. 8” Dagger point blade made from file. 3” Iron cross guard. Bulbous tool type handle w/ iron ferrule. Accompanied by leather sheath. CONDITION: very good overall. Blade w/ staining & pitting.
2) 11 1/4” Overall. 7” Dbl. edged blade made from file. 3” Iron cross guard. Striped maple grip w/ inset lead ferrule. Pommel cap is made from 1849 dated American 1/2 penny. CONDITION: leather sheath very good overall. Lead ferrule loose. Sheath is sound, cracked tip, torn belt loop.
3) Elegant 13” dbl. edged dagger. Brass mounted w/ skeletal horn grip. Tin sheath w/ belt loop. CONDITION: very good to fine overall. Gray blade w/ original tool marks still very sharp. Grip has hand worn patina to brass & horn. Tin sheath retains soldered tin loop for belt strap. PROVENANCE: Collection of John Montague. (02-16578(3)/JS). $1,200-1,500.
