No.1: British Pattern 1888 Mk1 Bayonet. 12" bright blade. 16 3/4" overall. These bayonets were produced for the Lee Metford rifles. Blade is marked on left ricasso "MOLE / 8 / 05". Marked on right ricasso w/ "broad arrow / WD / small crown / B / 45 / X". Pommel is marked "83 RGA / 191". Steel crossguard w/ muzzle loop. Smooth walnut grips secured by two brass rivets w/ an oil hole above the top rivet. Scabbard is not present. CONDITION: blade is turning gray & patina w/ extensive very fine pitting. Grips have moderate wear & handling marks throughout. Balance of worn metal turning gray & patina. No.2: Argentine Model 1909 Bayonet. 15 3/4" bright fullered blade. 20 1/2" overall. Blade is marked on the left side "WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO. SOLINGEN". Right ricasso has Argentine crest surrounded by "MODELO ARGENTINO 1909" & S#. Steel crossguard w/ muzzle ring & forward curved quillon. Smooth walnut grips secured by two rivets. Scabbard is not present. CONDITION: bayonet has very good appearance w/ light wear, scratches & handling marks throughout. Blade tip has notably darkened appearance. Blade is unsharpened. No.3: Argentine Model 1891 Bayonet. 15 5/8" bright fullered blade. 20 1/2" overall. Blade is marked on left ricasso "WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM CO. SOLINGEN". Marked on right ricasso "MODELO ARGENTINO 189?". Argentine crest has been removed by grinding. Serial number "N9937" matches scabbard. Steel crossguard w/ muzzle loop & forward swept quillon. Silver colored alloy grips. Matching blued steel scabbard. CONDITION: bayonet has moderate wear, scratches & handling marks throughout. Blade has scattered light scratches. Balance of metal turning gray & patina. Scabbard has small dents, turning gray & patina w/ notable blue showing around throat area. No.4: Spanish Artillery Sword-Bayonet. 15 3/4" bright fullered blade. 20 5/8" overall. Faint blade markings on left ricasso "ARTILLERIA NACIONAL TOLEDO". Straight steel crossguard w/ muzzle ring. Wood grips secured by two screws. Grips have coarse checkering. CONDITION: entire bayonet is mostly gray & patina w/ wear. Grips have moderate wear & handling marks. (02-23856/RW). NON-GUN. $200-400.
