This very interesting group of 20th century, mostly French military hats & helmets includes 1 Adrian style helmet w/ field green over steel blue paint w/ infantry horn on the front encircling “RF”. Liner & chinstrap are present. / 1 Adrian style helmet w/ dark steel blue paint w/ a flaming bomb on the front & the letters “RF”. Full liner. No chinstrap. / 1 Adrian style helmet w/ a nearly black colored painted finish. French Air Corps device on the front featuring a winged star below “RF”. Full liner & chinstrap. / 1 Czechoslovakian M28/30 helmet painted w/ a tricolor blue, red & white circle on the front. Full liner & partial chinstrap. / 1 Adrian style helmet likely as used by an official w/ the police force. Helmet is painted black w/ an aluminum comb & silvered flaming bomb on the front. Braided leather chinstrap. Full liner. / 1 Adrian style Belgian tropical helmet. Helmet is the shape of a standard Adrian style helmet but made of pressed cloth & cork painted in a dark green/brown. Lion front plate w/ full liner & chinstrap. / 1 French officer’s cap in black wool w/ 3 horizontal stripes & quatrefoil top. There is a sm. bullion flaming bomb on the front. / 1 French officer’s cap in black wool w/ yellow piping around the top & a bullion anchor on the front. / 1 French general’s cap in field green w/ 2 stars on the front & a gold bullion chinstrap. / 1 French officer’s cap w/ a black wool band & red crown. Bullion quatrefoil & piping at the top. / 1 French officer’s cap in gray wool w/ a red crown. It has 4 bullion horizontal stripes at the top w/ a quatrefoil on the crown. There is a bullion “1” on the front. CONDITION: as expected, condition varies greatly on this headgear lot. Most helmets show moderate wear but surprisingly complete liners. The tropical helmet has moderate to heavy overall wear but remains substantially complete. Officer’s caps generally show light wear. (02-16647-5/BF). $500-1,000.
