(BAYONETS). No.1: Late type Brown Bess socket bayonet. 16 1/4" triangular blade. 19 1/2" overall. Bayonet is unmarked. CONDITION: bayonet has extensive wear w/ chipped edges & has turned an overall dark patina w/ areas of shallow pitting. / No.2: U.S. Model 1795 Bayonet. 15 3/4" triangular blade. 19" overall. Blade is marked on top "K". Socket is marked on left side "19". Neck is marked at the front w/ an inverted "U.S." CONDITION: bayonet has been cleaned & is returning to patina w/ spots of shallow pitting throughout. Notable small transverse crack extending nearly halfway through blade approx. 7 1/4" behind point. Tip has small missing chip. / No.3: U.S. Model 1816 Bayonet. 15 3/4" triangular blade. 18 7/8" overall. Blade has the characteristic flute extending approx. 9" back from tip. Blade is marked on top "US / SC". CONDITION: metal has been extensively cleaned w/ wear & scattered small spots of oxidation throughout. Socket shows extensive sanding marks, likely from removal of patina. / No.4: U.S. Model 1873 Socket Bayonet. 18" triangular blade. Bayonet is unmarked. Locking ring is present. Steel scabbard w/ leather frog. Brass disc is marked "N.G.P.". CONDITION: bayonet has traces of original blue, turning gray & patina w/ light wear. Scabbard has restored black finish w/ moderate wear. Frog has wear, flexing & areas of loose stitching. / No.5: U.S. Model 1873 Cadet Socket Bayonet. 16" triangular blade. 19 3/8" overall. Blade measures 5/8" wide at rear & is marked "US" on top. Locking ring is present. Steel scabbard w/ black leather frog. Brass disc is marked "US". CONDITION: bayonet has turned overall gray & patina w/ wear & spots of shallow oxidation throughout. Scabbard has turned overall patina w/ oxidation. Frog has wear & flexing. / No.6: U.S. Model 1873 Socket Bayonet. 17 3/4" triangular blade. 21" overall. Blade is marked on top "US / S". Lock ring is present. Blued steel scabbard w/ black leather frog. Brass disc is marked "US". Frog is marked on back "W.T.G". CONDITION: bayonet has light wear w/ traces of original blue, but has turned overall gray & patina. Scabbard has wear w/ traces of blue & a lightly oxidized appearance. Frog has wear & flexing. / No.7: German Model 1898/05 Bayonet. 14 1/2" bright fullered blade. 19 3/4" overall. Blade has had sawback removed. Blade marked on left ricasso "WEYERSBERG / KIRSCHBAUM / & SIE / SOLINGEN". Marked on top "crown / W / 16 / inspector's mark". Crossguard made w/o muzzle ring. Flash guard is present. Walnut grips w/ slanted grooves. Grooved steel scabbard w/ traces of original gray-green paint. Leather frog was replaced at an early date by a Canadian marked frog w/ belt loop. CONDITION: blade has been sharpened. Sawback removal is arsenal quality work. Blade is turning gray. Balance of parts are gray & patina. Grips are worn, but serviceable. Scabbard has turned patina around the areas of original paint. Frog has wear & flexing, but remains serviceable. (SCABBARDS). No.1: 19 1/2" triangular leather scabbard w/ brass tip. Scabbard has partial marking on back of belt loop "WILKINSON ????". CONDITION: scabbard in worn, but serviceable condition. / No.2: Black leather scabbard. Approx. 15 1/2" overall. Scabbard is unmarked & in relic condition, missing part of the frog. / No.3: Blued steel scabbard for sword bayonet. Scabbard measures approx. 23 1/4" overall. Marked only w/ "G 93513". CONDITION: scabbard in good serviceable condition w/ shallow dents & moderate wear. / No.3: Czech Model 1924 Long Style Scabbard. Approx. 16 3/8" overall. Marked on top w/ "X" inside "D", serial number as well as encircled crosshairs. CONDITION: scabbard has wear & small dents, but retains most of its original blue. / No.4: Imperial German Scabbard for Sawback Bayonet. Blued steel scabbard measures approx. 15 1/4" overall. Marked on throat w/ Imperial acceptance mark. CONDITION: bayonet retains 75% original blue finish w/ wear & numerous small scratches. / No.5: U.S. Model 1873 Triangular Steel Scabbard. Measures 18 3/8" overall, not including the 3 1/2" brass belt hook. Belt hook marked "U.S.". Leather frog is marked on back "W.G.". CONDITION: scabbard turns overall gray & patina w/ worn frog. Brass turned a dark patina. / No.6: U.S. Model 1873 Scabbard. 18 5/8" overall. Black painted steel scabbard w/ leather frog & unmarked. CONDITION: heavily worn & serviceable. / No.7: U.S. Green WWII Era Plastic Scabbard. 17" overall. Steel throat w/ belt hook marked "USN / MK1". CONDITION: scabbard has light wear. / No.8: U.S. M1 Green Plastic Scabbard. Metal throat is marked "US" in "flaming bomb". Belt hook is not present. CONDITION: scabbard is in well-worn condition.
