No.1: US Model 1905 Bayonet. 15 3/4" fullered blade. 20 3/8" overall. Blade marked on left ricasso "SA / flaming bomb / 1907". Marked on right ricasso "US / 234295". Original coarse turned walnut grips. Scabbard has the early Phipps wire belt hook. Plain black leather body is marked on back "R.I.A. / 1907 / illegible inspector's mark". CONDITION: metal parts turned overall gray & patina w/ extensive wear & scattered very fine pitting. Blade has been sharpened, but has several small nicks. Grips show extensive wear w/ added finish. Right grip has small transverse cut across screw area. Scabbard body has wear, scuffing & loose stitching w/ loss of material at tip. Covering is detached at throat. Metal throat & belt hook have considerable oxidation & light pitting. No.2: US Model 1917 Bayonet. 17" fullered blade. 21 3/4" overall. Left ricasso is marked "1917 / encircled REMINGTON". Right ricasso has the "flaming bomb / US / partial eagle acceptance mark" & "X". Smooth walnut grips retained by two screws. Grips also have the two transverse grooves. Green plastic scabbard w/ metal throat. Throat marked "U.S.-M1917 / BM CO". CONDITION: bayonet retains a large degree of its arsenal rework Parkerized finish w/ light wear & light oxidation. Grips have light wear, but retains good appearance. Scabbard & throat have moderate throat. Scabbard has open 3" crack at tip. No.3: US Model 1917 Bayonet. 17" fullered blade. 21 3/4" overall. Left ricasso is marked "1918 / encircled REMINGTON". Right ricasso marked "flaming bomb / U.S." & "eagle head acceptance mark". Smooth walnut grips retained by two screws. Green colored leather scabbard w/ metal tip & throat. Scabbard markings are faint. CONDITION: metal parts retain traces of original blue. Blade has turned overall gray & patina w/ light oxidation. Blade has been sharpened. Scabbard has moderate wear, scuffing & flexing. Metal tips have turned overall patina w/ light oxidation. No.4: US Model 1905 Ross Bayonet. 10" single edged blade. 14 5/8" overall. US marked bayonet was used for training purposes. Bayonet is marked on the right side of the pommel "Ross Rifles Co. / Quebec / Patented 1907". Right grip has "US" & "flaming bomb" acceptance marks. White painted leather scabbard w/ metal throat. Scabbard has belt loop. CONDITION: blade has worn appearance turning gray. Balance of metal & grips have been painted gloss black in the distant past. Metal & grips show heavy wear. Crossguard has been distorted & bent, which renders it unserviceable as a bayonet. Scabbard has considerable loss of its white painted finish w/ scuffing & wear. Stitching is mostly missing on the belt loop. No.5: British Pattern 1903 Bayonet. 11 7/8" double-edged blade. 16 5/8" overall. Left ricasso has faint "crown / 95 / WILKINSON, LONDON". Right ricasso has "WD" partial view mark & the "opposed arrows" indicating the bayonet was sold out of service. Smooth walnut grips retained by two brass rivets. Scabbard is not present. CONDITION: metal has extensive wear, turning gray & patina. Grips have moderate wear & small crack on left grip. (02-24121/RW). NON-GUN. $200-400.
