AMMUNITION. Lot contains both cloth and metal machine gun belts, cloth bandoliers and clips for 1903 Springfields and M1 Garand rifles. Cloth machine gun belt loaded with 55+ rounds of VC 45 ball ammunition. VC is the Verdun Quebec Arsenal. There is an unmarked green cloth bandolier loaded with 60 rounds of ball ammunition. Ammunition is on Springfield clips headstamped "DEN 42". There are 45 rounds of "DEN 42" ball on Springfield Model 1903 stripper clips. 32 rounds of ball ammunition loaded on 8 round M1 Garand clips appear to be PW57 ball. 9 rounds of vintage Remington sporting ammunition headstamped "REM-UMC 1906" loaded with bronze point bullets in white canvas roll. 7.62 NATO: 70+ rounds loaded in a metal disintegrating link belt. Every fifth round is an orange tipped tracer. Balance of ammunition is ball. Ammunition appears to be headstamped "LC 63". Lot includes green unmarked ammunition can. CONDITION: ammunition is generally clean and serviceable except the Canadian loaded 30-06 ball has a scattering of verdigris throughout. PROVENANCE: Norman Olliff Estate. (02-25694/RW).
