SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH CONVERSION KITS. Cal. 380 ACP/32 ACP/22 LR. S# 41488. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model 4 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Heckler & Koch in Germany and imported by Harrington & Richardson of Worcester, MA. The left side of the slide exhibits a brass plate that is engraved with H&R's importer information, followed by the H&R logo above "1871" and "1971". Underside of frame exhibits the S# above the date code "9/70", with the right side of the trigger guard web exhibiting a partially defaced "BUND" stamp, and the left showing 2 eagle proofs, indicating that this frame was at one time issued to the German Bundeswehr. Blued slide with black anodized aluminum frame. Frame is mounted with 2 piece checkered black grips. Bbl. and slide do not match the frame. MAGS: (3 total) 1-7 rd., 2-8 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 3 original factory boxes. 1 Containing the factory paperwork for the pistol, 1 containing a matching .32 ACP bbl., and .32 ACP mag., 1 containing a non-matching .22 LR bbl. (that matches the currently fitted .380 ACP bbl. and slide) 1 .22 LR mag. & 1 6.35mm mag. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory finishes, with the slide exhibiting mild edge wear, some superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as some light oxidation on the right side. Brass plate exhibits a pleasing mellow patina. Frame exhibits some spots of mild wear, but is otherwise retains the majority of its factory black anodized finish. Mirror bores, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Boxes show exterior wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Gun Sport Ltd owned by Jon R. Thomas.
