Cal. 64. NSN. Bbl. 23" round w/ smooth bore & fixed sights. 1839 dated breech block w/ high fence behind the nipple & hole drilled through the hammer. 2 band fastened w/ walnut stock & iron fittings. Wrist of stock is fitted w/ eyebolt having a sling ring on left side. Ramrod style triangular bayonet. Total of 2,020 mfg. 1837-40. Many of these Hall rifles were issued to the 1st and 2nd Dragoons for use in in the Seminole Wars. CONDITION: metal has a faded gray-brown appearance w/ light pitting having numerous small dents in breech area. Stock shows scattered scratches & marks. Sound mechanics. Lightly pitted bore.
