Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 14238 (small on watertable). The 29 3/4" chopperlump bbls. with narrow game rib are engraved "Victor" "Sarasqueta" "Eibar" on rear portion. Bbl. flats are stamped with pre-1927 Spanish Nitro proofs. A sling loop is screwed to bottom rib. Case hardened, robust top lever action is fitted with front spring locks having serpentine rebounding hammers. Action is nicely filed and features third fastener, gas vents, side clips, and double triggers (front articulated). Action and locks are engraved with near full coverage English rose and scroll. Maker's name and address is on bottom. Straight grip buttstock of somewhat marbled stump figured European walnut measures 14 1/4". over "Silver" type pad and 1/4" extension. Point pattern checkering is at grip and a sling loop and vacant silver oval are on toeline. Matching splinter forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .738", L .738". Restriction: R .039" (EXTRA FULL), L .040" (EXTRA FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .018", L .016". STOCK: DAH: 2 9/16". DAC: 1 5/8". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 10 oz. CONDITION: fair to good as refinished. Bbls. retaining nearly all of a reblack, engraving compromised. Action retains nearly all of a new case recolor, engraving is considerably softened. Hammers have had spurs reshaped with engraving filed off and are presently blued. Buttstock appears to be considerably thinned and retains most of an oil refinish. Pad is new. Checkering recut. Forend wood also shows considerable wear with refinish and recut checkering. Bores are shiny over a fair scattering of pits with an area of fairly deep pitting in both bbls. about 14" behind muzzles.
