AUTO CARBINE. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1481. Bbl. 16 3/4" including fabricated extension muzzle brake. These rifles were manufactured for guard & police use. Rifle appears to have been modified, replacing the original 18 1/4" barrel w/ a shorter SMG barrel which has been extended by the permanently mounted muzzle brake. Bbl. is marked "F" over chamber & is ribbed for approx. 2 3/4". Front sight boss is located 9 1/4" ahead of receiver & is dovetailed to accept the marble number 2 sporting bead front sight. Muzzle brake has seven slots on top. Aperture rear sight w/ sliding elevator. Receiver is marked on top "MODEL 60-H&R REISING-CAL.45 / HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON ARMS CO. / WORCESTER, MASS U.S.A. / PAT PENDING". Receiver is equipped w/ a sliding safety which only has safe & sliding positions. Walnut stock marked w/ "2" in white on both sides of butt. Stock is equipped w/ flat steel buttplate & carries the sling swivels on the right side. MAGS: 1 detachable 20 rd., markings on front include "H&R-REISING / MODEL 50-CAL.45 MAGAZINE". CONDITION: buttstock has moderate wear, staining & handling marks retaining its original finish. Metal parts have an arsenal rework type reblue w/ light wear & small handling marks. Magazine has a dull gray finish & appears to have seen little. Good shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands & beginnings of frosting in grooves. (25-2757/RW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
