REVOLVER. Cal. 45. S# 49719. This revolver was manufactured in 1878 is in the standard configuration of cavalry issue, 7.5" barrel with 1-line lock letter Hartford USA address. Frame is stamped along with three line patent dates with small "US". Inspection initials "H.N." are observed on bottom of barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap on top, cylinder, and bottom of grips. "JEG" cartouche & "1870" on left grip, "HCN" cartouche on right grip. CONDITION: fine as refinished, retains much of blue and case-color finish, markings very good, grips are numbered inside backstrap channel matching revolver, but appear to me as reproduction and better than rest of gun. Mechanics fine, bright shiny rifled bore. (01-26733/JS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-5,000.
