Cal. 62. NSN. Bbls. 9” round w/ smoothbores & faceted transitions at tangs. Breech ends are marked “LONDON” w/ London black powder proofs & view marks. Locks are marked “H. NOCK”. Locks & hammers have borderline engraving. Pin fastened round butt walnut stocks. Brass fittings include trigger guards, side plates & faceted pipes. Side plates are numbered “304”. Bone tipped hardwood ramrods. Henry Nock, 1741-1804, gunsmith, was a major supplier to the British military during the Napoleonic War period. CONDITION: both pistols are very good. Bbls. have cleaned appearance showing scattered very light pitting. Locks have a good dark faded appearance w/ clear markings. Brass shows evidence of cleaning. Stocks have worn finish & some aged darkening. One is missing a chip above the lock w/ cracks in lock & side plate areas. Functioning locks. Good bores show some very light pitting. (01-23054/DS).
