LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 6660n. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser during the opening year of World War II. The bbl. extension is marked "1939" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/63 proofs marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "S/42" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All numbers are matching, save for on the wood bottom mag., which is numbered "69968". MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal salt blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear and thinning (primarily on the left side of muzzle and on the toe of the front grip strap) that show through to gray patina, with some scattered superficial handling marks and spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered areas of light to mild surface oxidation, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as some scattered nicks to the diamonds, but otherwise remain very good overall. (24-4736/MLW). CURIO. $1,400-2,000.
