FEATHERWEIGHT BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 243 Win. S# 557417. Bbl. 21 5/8". Model 70 Featherweight bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1962. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard factory markings denoting the model and cal. designations. Receiver exhibits a matte bead blasted blue finish, with the bbl., bolt handle, bolt shroud, trigger guard, and aluminum floorplate exhibiting a standard blue finish. Bolt body is polished in-the-white. 1-piece Monte Carlo checkered wood pistol grip stock with checkered black synthetic buttplate and sling swivels fitted with a partially tooled brown leather Bianchi Cobra sling. Ramped, hooded, and aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed flip-up U-notch rear sight. Receiver is factory drilled and tapped, with plug screws being absent. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, showing a few spots of light edge wear, with some light to mild thinning present on the bolt knob. Mirror bore, exhibiting what appears to be a few small spots of light pitting towards the muzzle, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows some light superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as 2 impressions on the right side of the forearm near the tip, but otherwise remains very good overall. (25-4433/MLW).
