Cal. 12 Ga., 2 5/8". S# 3652. The 30" twist steel barrels are completely unmarked except for S# on rear lump. Case hardened top lever action is fitted with front spring locks with rebounding chamfered serpentine hammers. Each lockplate is marked "Colts PT. F.A. Mfg. Co.". S# is engraved on blued trigger guard tang. Round knob buttstock of plain American walnut measures 14 1/4" over case hardened steel buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend with inlet ebony tip has Colt's adaptation of a Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .738. R .737. Restriction: L .024 (Mod). R .023 (Mod). Wall thickness: L .032. R .034. STOCK: DAH: 3 1/4". DAC: 1 7/8". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14 1/4". WEIGHT: 8 lb. 4 oz. CONDITION: very fine. Barrels retaining over 90% original twist finish with some scattered marks. Action and lockplates retain 40-50% original case hardening color. Right plate is quite strong with about 80% color. Action shows some spotting. Top lever, trigger plate and trigger guard retain over 80% original bright blue. Buttplate has a good amount of its original case hardening color. Stocks retain over 90% original oil finish with a good scattering of light marks and a few deep bumps. Bores are bright and shiny with raised dent 8" behind muzzle of right barrel and with a minor dent at same area of left. (01-24122/MGM). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
