DOUBLE SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 Ga. 2-1/2". S# 368973. The 28" barrels with slightly raised matted rib have Sterlingworth steel info and Savage name and address on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with S#. Case hardened action with rotary bolt features automatic safety and double triggers. Watertable is stamped with S# and "16 GA.". Action has wiggle border engraving and is marked "FOX STERLINGWORTH" on each side. S# is on blued trigger guard tang. Relatively plain American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8" over ribbed hard rubber buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend has spring tension release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .657. R .657. Restriction: L .031 (full). R .014 (mod). Wall thickness: L .034. R .033. STOCK: DAH: 2-3/4". DAC: 1-1/2". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-1/8". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 3 oz. CONDITION: very fine. Barrels retaining nearly all of their original rust blue. Action retains over 90% original casehardening color which shows some lightening on bottom and on fences. Stocks retain nearly all of their original varnish finish with perhaps some added oil.
