KNIFE, WITH BRONZE STAR CERTIFICATE. U.S.G.I. custom theater made knife, fabricated during World War II. The right side of the blade is lightly etched "HEB" (Herbert E. Brown). The dagger type blade features a polished finish, measuring 8 1/8" from the point to the top of the guard, with an overall length of 11 5/8". Handle is comprised of black and transparent synthetic rings, featuring an aluminum upturned full cross guard, aluminum bolster, and aluminum pommel. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: framed 1986 reissued Bronze Star certificate presented to PFC. Harold E. Brown of the United States Army for a meritorious achievement in ground combat during World War II. CONDITION: blade retains a bright appearance, exhibiting superficial handling marks, as well as some sharpening marks. Grip shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (02-24401/MLW). $200-400.
