PRISTINE STAND ALONE ANTI-AIRCRAFT TRIPOD. This amazing ground tripod is clean as though it had spent its entire life on display. Designed to tame the MG42, tipping the scales at almost 50 lb., fully adj. front & rear legs w/ a micro adj. T&E mechanism. As issued w/ its then state of the art, periscope style optic, the operator could track & engage targets out to 4,000 yd. from a low, crouched position out of direct fire. Designed w/ numerous precision leveling devices & a remote trigger mechanism, this mount was designed to absorb the recoil & forces of a lightning fast cyclic rate. “HENSOLDT WETZLAR” marked scope has a triple line post & horizontal bar style reticle that is fast & easy to read & remains extremely clear even today. Complete w/ rubber scope cap, it is comfortable locked onto the tripod or in its integral carrying case. The entire tripod/optic system folds into a backpack configuration for single man fast travel. Accompanying this mount is a more traditional anti-aircraft tripod w/ extendable legs & neck that utilizes the same quick detach mechanism as the factory bipod. Well lubricated & smooth of operation, either one of these would make a great centerpiece in any WWII German arms collection or on the firing line at a recreational shoot or re-enactors event. CONDITION: paint & markings on ground tripod are well highlighted & easy to read, as are all adjustments on legs & even periscope. Ground mount also includes a simple, yet well constructed adapter for the American 1919 family of firearms reversibly utilized w/out permanent modification to mount. (02-14677 & 02-14678/JZ). $600-1,200.
