SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 7701a. Bbl. 4". P.08 mfg. by DWM in 1913 for the Imperial German military. The barrel extension is marked "1913" over the chamber with DWM arsenal proofs on the right. Toggle bears the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Major metal components exhibit a rust blued finish with some smaller components exhibiting a strawed or nitre blued finish. Frame is mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Rear grip strap without stock lug. Rear sight has been modified from a V-notch to a U-notch. All numbers are matching with the exception of the wood bottom mag., which is mismatched. MAGS: 3 - 8rd. 1 original wood bottom, 2 contemporary Mauser banners marked with black plastic bottoms. ACCESSORIES: 2 Spare mags. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their period arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear primarily on edges that shows through to gray patina, with some scattered spots of mild surface pitting overall. Grip straps exhibit freckling. Strawed components exhibit moderate wear with worn areas showing spots of darker discoloration. Bore exhibits pitting and retains fair rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks to the diamonds, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Left grip panel exhibits a small loss to the rear of the safety lever.
