Overall length: 41”. Blade length: 32 3/4". Blade has a single wide fuller and is etched on the spine “MOHR & SPEYER BERLIN”. The blade is etched over 14” w/ various patriotic & foliate motifs. Gilded brass hilt features a lion head quillon & crossed cannons on the front languet. The knuckle bow is embellished, and the pommel is a well-executed lion’s head. The backstrap is also decorated w/ foliate & geometric motifs. Wire-wrapped sharkskin grip. The remains of a knot strap are attached to the grip. Plated iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a light gray patina w/ scattered light spotting. Hilt shows traces of original gilded finish. Grip shows light overall wear. Scabbard retains 90% of original plating.
