SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 8mm Nambu. S# 16667. Bbl. 4 5/8". Series 1 Type 14 Nambu semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Kokubunji Arsenal under Nagoya supervision in February of 1936. The right side of the frame exhibits the Kokubunji Arsenal insignia followed by the S# above the date code "11.2". The left side exhibits Kanji characters denoting the model designation. Major metal components are blued w/some smaller components being strawed. Frame is mounted w/2 piece grooved wood grips. All numbers are matching (w/ the exception of the mag.) & include the frame, trigger, safety lever, mag. release button, trigger guard, trigger, bbl. extension, locking block, bolt, as well as the cocking knob. Grips are matching via the last 3 digits which are faintly written in pencil on the interior of the panels. Frame exhibits an unusually lg. trigger bar pin on the left side. MAGS: 1 - 8 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSOIES: period custom brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal applied blue finish having some spots of light wear & areas of pitting w/spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Bore is bright exhibiting scattered spots of mild pitting & strong rifling throughout. Grips show scattered marks from storage & handling but are otherwise very good overall. Left grip panel exhibits a sm. line from the safety lever. Leather holster remains malleable exhibiting some mild wear from storage & handling. (23-5609/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
