PISTOL. Cal. 9mm. Luger. NSN. Bbl. 4 3/4" without markings. Mfg. 1943-1945 for WW-II plus some small contracts until about 1960. Termed "lunch box special" as it was likely pilfered in pieces from the factory as the ONLY markings on the pistol are on left side of its 50-500 marked tangent sight slide showing "MK I*" and normal Inglis markings. Viewed from rear, slide sits slightly forward of frame supporting parts pistol concept. Frame is more black than slide with appearance of different finish; all matte parkerized. Sides of trigger and its pivot pin are in the white. Black plastic grips having "CL" within "D" on each plus "55" on left and "B" on right . "II" on ring hammer. Lanyard cord attached to loop at bottom left rear of frame. MAGS: 1 good plus 13 rd. with "JI" marked split base and black plastic follower. CONDITION: good to very good appearance with high point and function wear plus light rub marks, Very good grips with left best appearing; right with light marks. Good to very good bore with very light pitting in forward half. (22-4457/NW). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
